Chef's Table meet with Pizza Hut and Barilla

Few days ago I got an invitation from PIZZA HUT's "Chef's Table", to have some fun and cooking experience with Chef Arjya, Head chief Pizza Hut and Chef Luca Ciano, executive chef from Barilla, Italy..

This meet proved to be a great opportunity to explore new delicacies and some innovative recipes which were cooked in front of us by chef Arjya and chef Luca. The very Indianized version of Pasta was uplifted to the Italian standards by Chef Luca.

Chef Arjya introducing himself.

Chef Luca introducing us to the amazing world of Italian Pasta!

Both the chefs created some amazing and healthy pasta recipes, which were derived from Italy in case of Chef Luca, and the desi *Pizza Hut* version by Chef Arjya. What I loved the most was the variety of unexplored flavors that were offered on the platter.

Yummy pasta, Chef Arjyo's creation.

I was lucky to have been seated on the front most table, as I was able to learn the cooking experience better.

Marinated prawns for Chef Luca's pasta

While making pastas chef Luca gave us some very useful tips, and even burst some very wrong myths about Pasta. For examples, he told us not to add oil while boiling pasta (as that will hinder the mixing process of the sauce with the pasta) and not to wash boiled pasta with cold water.

Chicken Lasagne

This crispy aubergine (bringal) topped pasta recipe by Chef Luca was out of this world!
It was a good experience to interact with both fabulous and genius chefs and witness live cooking demo on the Chef' Table.

Enjoying some signature Pizza Hut pizzas.

Not only we were pampered with some finger licking food, at the end of the evening, they gave us a gift hamper including their latest products too. Isn't it just so cool?

Hats off to the team of Pizza Hut and Barilla for hosting such a yummilicious evening for us all. Can't wait to try the hamper products.
 Till then Ciao !!!

thoughts of the day

Todays morning is very bright and sunny. It gives us lots of freshness. As winter start coming slowly slowly day by day, We start to like sunny rays as compare to summer. In summer we hate hot weather and love to enjoy cold and shady places Instead of this we love to take sunbath in winters.
As winter season has come with lots of disease like cold, cough, viral fever and some chronicle disease like.arthoritis, asthma joint paims etc.
It is very painful weather for old people. As we have seen so many cases of heart attack and strokes in old aged peoples . So they should take necessary precaution at the beginning of winters,

The Six Senses Spa - The property

Recently I got invited from Jaypee Greens Resort and Spa (Greater Noida), for a tour of their splendid 'Six senses Spa resort'.

When I reached the property, all I could see were lush green lawns, calmness and a feeling of well being.Being situated in Greater Noida, this resort was far away from the hustle bustle of a city life, with no sound and air pollution to hinder us with.

As we entered the premises, they welcomed us with a choice of mineral water or iced tea and cold yet wet orange fragranced hand towels. The concept behind this welcome was to begin our 'Six Senses' journey, by triggering our two senses.... the touch and the smell! So when we sipped in the iced tea we felt refreshed, while the wet towel wipe soothed our senses.

After that ice cold (yet warm) welcome, we were ready to go on a guided tour of the SIX SENSES SPA

It is a three floored building with separate sections for males and females, and some combination rooms for couples. I found this place to be a heaven of nature! Not only the spa treatments are fully organic, but the wooden and marble interiors to the fresh food being served at their current resort restaurant.. everything is guaranteed to help you achieve 'Nirvana'.

This spa proudly presents the concept of traditional male and female Hamaams, a meditation cave, single and double treatment rooms, a ladies club and golfers treatment area. The ladies club is considered to be an ideal location for private spa parties, events or “brides to be” and provides services such as hair spa treatments, hair styling, blow dry and colouring.

Since a photograph is worth a thousand word, let me take you on a visual tour of this magnificent place...

One of the sitting arrangements (note they are all organic, with wooden skeleton and khadi cushions) to relax or wait for your appointment.

A beautifully designed swimming pool, to soothe your senses before/after a treatment

The entire premises is decorated with Plumeria flowers

 The calm wooden corridors

Spacious yoga room. They have windows overlooking nature on one side, while the opposite wall is covered with glasses, if one would like to correct his/her posture.

Mixing well with the theme, my printed green sari!

Another sitting area overlooking the beautiful swimming pool.

Equipped with latest technologies, this gym has been a favorite of Formula 1 sportsmen.

A stunning saloon. This is very different from the usual saloons we visit, given the organic interiors, the soothing music, lots of natural light and skin friendly products range.

One of the facial massage rooms.

All spa rooms come attached with a working restroom, an iphone to play your choice of music, and scented candles, all giving you a customized spa experience.

This amazing massage chair is installed during any kind of party, to give the guests some relaxation.

 Traditional Thai massage room.

Beautiful Hamaam room, made up entirely of marble.

One of the spa party rooms. These private party rooms are guaranteed to give you and your guests some undisturbed fun moments.

The large sitting arrangements, being made in one of the private party rooms.

A beautifully lit couples spa treatment room. This includes an old style earthy bath tub too.

 The meditation dome.

 The Ayurveda treatment room

Watsu treatment pool. This is one of it's kind treatment, which includes acupressure, massage and other techniques being offered to the customer INSIDE the pool. The idea is to infuse the massage treatment with the soothing elements of a flowing water.

At the beginning of one's spa journey,  every customer is offered a locker room, which includes a towel, bathroom slippers and spa apparels.

After a mesmerizing tour of the entire spa property, we were taken to their resort restaurant for some spa special lunch.

 Broccoli in cream soup

 Enjoying the creamy soup..! ;)

 Nutty (healthy) Salad

Since I am a non - vegetarian, I opted for steamed fish on red gravy, while my vegetarian friends opted for a mushroom wrap.

 Fruit platter as dessert.

My drink for lunch : Pink Perfection

Crispy bread with Pesto dressing.

Personally, I liked the earthiness of the entire property, which gave us a feel of calmness and was soothing to our eyes.
The mild fragrance was not overpowering, and was quite refreshing.
Herbal and organic  healthy drinks and foods for our taste buds.
And above all, the great experience and nirvana like feeling for our hidden sense.

I am re- visiting the spa soon, for a spa treatment. Stay tuned! ;)
